IMB Riverlights 2016

IMB Riverlights and Eat Street - Friday Night of Granite Town - Moruya’s Funky Little Festival.  An un-miss-able FREE community event!   4pm - 9pm, Friday 28th October.

IMB Riverlights - a glowing display of community built, giant, illuminated floating sculptures towed by kayakers and paddle boarders on the Moruya River at dusk - will captivate thousands.  Five months in the making, these remarkable luminous artworks are a reflection of a truly collaborative community both in spirit and in action.

This year, many of the lanterns will be walked through the audience to launch at the town jetty, some will be pre-anchored and others paddled in from either end of the river.

Support this free event by visiting Eat Street from 4pm - a pop-up dining precinct of delicious local and further-flung fare - to buy a delicious meal, and be part of the luminosity by buying your very own Riverlights lantern!  Make Friday night super special by catching the Friday night acts in the HUB at Granite Town - Moruya’s Funky Little Festival.

Fire-twirlers, roving entertainers, dancers, drummers and illuminated wanderers will add to the carnival atmosphere - this is a free evening of great entertainment for all the family.

IMB Riverlights opens Granite Town - Moruya’s Funky Little Festival, on Friday 28th October with a Traditional Welcome to Country provided by Yuin Elder, Trish Ellis.  Eat Street is open from 4pm, with the lanterns doing their thing at dusk.
